Trump Faces Criticism Over Prospect of Enhanced Interrogation Techniques

(snip)

Mr. Trump’s remarks followed an outcry from lawmakers who pointed to a proposed executive order circulating Washington that would call for a review of U.S. interrogation policies of the CIA’s “black site” program, used to detain and interrogate terror suspects at secret locations overseas.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the draft order didn't originate in the White House.

But a U.S. official said that the order had, in fact, been sent by White House officials to National Security Council staff on Tuesday, with a request that they review it and prepare it for a public release on Wednesday.

The Washington Post put a link to the document of its website.
