In his ruling, Robart said Washington had met the high burden to justify a restraining order by showing Trump’s order was causing “immediate and irreparable injury,” and that the state had a substantial likelihood of winning its underlying lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the travel ban.

12. An emergency stay of an order means the order cannot be applied

what usually happens after that is the opposing party appeals ( in this case, that would be Trump) to a higher court, which often
then puts the lower court's emergency stay on hold, "pending review"
but sometimes just agrees to review without putting the stay on hold.
for now, today, probably this weekend, the ban is lifted, and all Immigration officers should allow immigrants entrance.

the protestors, or the democrats.

Is anyone talking about the fundamental question of whether or not the original EO makes us safer or not? Why isn't that germain in this conversation...that this is a huge waste of time?

I think expert opinion is that this does NOT make us safer. Why isn't that the first question asked of Spicer or Conway or Trump? Is this just for show? I guess answering the question for once and for all would remove the back and forth conflict / drama. Again the basic issue is lost in favor of the drama. Trees branches and leaves, not ever forest.

Limoncello talking, but I still will hate the media conversation tomorrow.
