Drumpf, the Deplorables, and the GOPU want to pay for their income tax cuts by placing a twenty percent border tax. Steve Forbes said it was a horrible idea that would raise the cost of everything from gas to clothes to food. He said the border tax would fall most heavily on the poor because the less money you make the more of it you spend.

1. Forbes also favors a flat tax. Another regressive tax that hurts worker far more

than the 1%. Can he reconcile the two positions?

2. What he really means is that it will fall most heavily on businesses here

since their costs for commodities and finished products will rise. They can't just raise their prices to compensate for it because wages are already so depressed that most people will simply have to stop buying anything but food and shelter, and buy less of that. Business earnings will plummet and so will Steve's income.

As with all Trump's great ideas, it's grandiose, overstated and will be disastrous if ever put into practice.
