Over the last year especially he has shown me that he is a man with personal integrity and honest convictions. He's made mistakes, we all have. I will not always agree with him in the future, like I haven't always in the past. But yes, he has my respect. I only wish most Republicans were more like him, people with whom I can have principled disagreements at times with mutual sincerity intact.

His voice is important right now. I wonder how many of those who voted for Trump can hear it.

He has been living in a world constructed around him and his success that dismisses failures and paints himself as cleverly using bankrupcty.
He put himself on a national stage beginning with bragging in biographies about how he is a genius at building wealth. And then he gets even more with his reality TV show which if measured by longevity and viewership can be reasonably understood as success.
This is a guy who is overconfident because he has no reason not to be.
He is probably a president we deserve in a nation that worships wealth and has enabled the success of reality tv. Why wouldn't lies go unchallenged when stage managed entertainment of people being ridiculed is presented as reality. He represents the worst of the US' loud and visible presense.

are responsible for the rabid followers of the Republican brand! They have created the hyper-partisanship we currently suffer from. When we get in power we need to remake the FCC and restrict what the Constitution allows. They must not be allowed to lie in their reporting!

It is hard to forget his involvement with trying to get McCain-Palin elected, particularly the Palin part. I have the same feelings about Nicolle Wallace.

I guess he was too young at the time to remember much about him; however, I'll say that the thing tRump has got one up on Nixon is the fact that he's managed to emerge as even more round-the-bend unwrapped in a mere short month in office than it took Nixon in more than four+ years.

That was the most bizarre public display of behavior(s) from a world leader I've seen since Nikita Khrushchev and his ignominious banging the podium with his shoe before The United Nations - or wherever it was. That was like watching a elderly man with advanced dementia-induced paranoia having a temper tantrum.

I guess he's safe with his so-called base, but the rest of the world has got to either be quaking in their boots or laughing uproariously at this embarrassing display of juvenile shit-throwing.
