I have a question maybe someone could help me with.

In his presser today Trump defended Flynn saying(of Flynn) he was "just doing his job" (speaking of Flynn's contact with a Russian ambassador shortly after Obama put sanctions on Russia). What job was he doing? Trump needs to be nailed down on this. Back in December of 2016, the time of this controversial contact, Flynn would not yet have been the National Security Adviser. He would have just been working for the Trump campaign and not part of the government. What job did he have as a Trump campaign worker that would have involved talking to a Russian ambassador?

Trump and the boys knew damn well he was talking with the Russians about sanctions and there was no need for Pence to be told what he already knew. Why can't we approach this whole thing from that angle?

IMHO
Flynn's calls to Russia were mult-purpose...
• Convey the actual message regarding future termination of sanctions
• create a diversionary trail for IC to follow which would easily establish Flynn as the lone wolf Russian Connection ...
It was like an insurance policy... if the Russia related investigations ever posed a threat then someone would anonymously leak info which would reveal this (purposefully diversionary) trail to Flynn & then IC /FBI could justify deeming the entire Russia issue as "Case Closed".

I think the real problem was that 45 had to sacrifice Flynn far earlier than had ever been anticipated..
