10 members of WH Advisory Commission members all resign

By Bill Palmer | February 16, 2017 | 0

This week began with the resignation of Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser Michael Flynn amid the Russia scandal, and earlier today things got far more chaotic when six other members of Trump’s staff were escorted out of the White House after being flagged by the FBI. And now things have taken yet another surreal turn, as ten members of a President’s Advisory Commission have all resigned today.

Ten members of the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders all resigned in unison today, in protest of Donald Trump’s treatment of minorities. This means two thirds of the commission is now vacant, after stating that they could no longer remain due to Trump’s portrayal of “immigrants, refugees, people of color and people of various faiths as untrustworthy, threatening, and a drain on our nation.” Among those who resigned were the commission’s chair and vice chair.

This was totally lost in the Festivus presser yesterday. And 6 staffers were escorted out of the WH by security for failing their security background checks? How often does THAT happen? I've never heard of that happening--ever. Like I said, I expected a clusterfuck of epic proportions, but I was wrong. This is a clusterfuck of Biblical proportions. Congress had better stop dicking around and invoke the 25th Amendment--45* is an existential threat to the planet.

My hat is off to you, Agent Orange.

It's hard to believe this is really happening - you couldn't sell it as a movie script.

I guess it's Mission Accomplished. They wanted to dismantle the government.

Shit's getting real.
