Mexican families torn apart

11 HOURS AGO by: Jude Webber in Mexico City

... One of the estimated 5.8m Mexicans who entered the US illegally and without official papers, many of whom now live in fear of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, the 50-year-old Mexican deportee spent the better part of 27 years north of the border.

He was expelled last March to a country he barely recognised, 3,000km away from his wife and their five US-born children who stayed behind in Nevada ...

“I’ll definitely cross again?.?.?.?Of course I will,” he says. “It doesn’t matter how much it costs — my family is worth much more” ...

This individual must have done something more then just not have papers. President Obama was only deporting people with terror ties. Not saying this guy does but seems strange. I was expecting he was deported last week.

detained near the border soon after entry. For internal removals, the administration prioritized persons with certain criminal convictions and persons under deportation order. The subject of the FT piece was first deported in 95, and has since been deported multiple times, but quite naturally keeps returning to his family here. We reallu should think what we are actually doing in cases like this
