He refuses to even slap Trump's wrist much less hold an independent investigation. How come? We're talking TREASON here with Trump's campaign team and the Furor himself. Just remember the GOP helped Dump win and no doubt some GOP higher-ups knew Russia was hacking and helping.

I'm starting to think that Trump's senility happens to coincide with McConnell's because it makes no political sense at all to support Trump like this. It also makes no sense for the GOP to keep gnawing away at the ACA. It's political suicide and they will end up hurting a lot of Americans.

There is a self-destructive (and decidedly NOT self-reflective) momentum at work within the GOP.

I guess I'm still resisting seeing a wide-ranging conspiracy but...maybe that's exactly what this is.

... Flynn’s resignation may only be the tip of a dangerous iceberg. There are reports that Trump campaign officials had “repeated contacts” with senior Russian intelligence officials during the 2016 presidential campaign.

... Was the Trump campaign cooperating with Russian officials who were working to help Trump win the election? If so, did Donald Trump know about these contacts? Did the Trump campaign offer Russia something in exchange for its help with the election? Did Flynn make a post-election promise to the Russian ambassador to ease sanctions as part of a quid-pro-quo that began during the campaign? If so, was Flynn acting alone, or did Trump know about and direct Flynn’s actions? Does Russia possess information it could use as leverage over the president? Did members of the Trump campaign violate U.S. laws or undermine America’s security?

... there are no signs .. an investigation is imminent ... House Republicans are calling for a formal government probe — not about Flynn, but about the leaks that helped bring him down.

... McConnell, a partisan who dismissed concerns about Russian interference when he was briefed about this before the election, can’t be expected to take appropriate action ...

if you're not into the tweets you're not getting the full effect!

I like to think of the tweets as the cords that are woven to make the rope!
