I heard about the Georgia race from a Dem town committee in Massachusetts. It's a chance to DO SOMETHING!! Let's get a running start and win this first competitive race!

Jon Ossoff is running for Congress in Georgia's 6th district, in the special election to replace Tom Price. Hillary lost in this district by only a single point in November and this could be a potential pickup for Democrats in the House. The election is on April 18th. You can contribute here:

10. Looks like that district has been thoroughly gerrymandered.

Starting with Newt Gingrich it has been solid red for a long, long time. Is there any information to indicate why a Democrat might win now? Who's running on the Republican side?

13. Well, Clinton's close race there is a good sign.

If we could get a terrific turnout from the Democrats in the district, it could happen. I just hope there isn't too much dilution from having so many candidates. But, then, the GOOPers have even more, so that's something.

18. He shouldn't be expected to win, necessarily, to make it worth supporting him.

In a special election in CT for a state senate seat, Greg Cava lost by 11 points. When he ran in the regular election in 2016, he lost by 33. That means we only need to turn 6 more percentage points to flip a district that hasn't voted Democratic since 1891. (Not a typo).

We need to start laying the ground work for future wins EVERYWHERE. I recommend ItStarts.today, where all donations are divided equally among 468 Dem candidates. Who knows where a critical mass may begin to blossom?

17. April 18th election date

Jon Ossof is getting a lot of press and support in and outside of his district. The 6th is a strong Republican district, but did not go for Trump by a large margin. I'm in the 4th District and have been seeing signs for him.

If the poll numbers hold up, he won't get 50%, but will be in a runoff with Karen Handel, a known name, but a lot of baggage.

Please send this guy whatever support you can!
