Angry constituent confronts Mitch McConnell over Trumps pledge to bring back coal jobs

An angry constituent at Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) speech at the Lawrenceburg Chamber of Commerce in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky on Tuesday tore into the Senate majority leader over the Trump administration’s pledge to “bring back coal jobs” to the United States.

“The last I heard, these coal jobs are not coming back and now these people don’t have the insurance they need because they’re poor,” the woman yelled at the Senator. “And they work those coal mines, and they’re sick, the veterans are sick, the veterans are broken down, they’re not getting what they need.”

“If you can answer any of that, I’ll sit down and shut up, like Elizabeth Warren,” she added, recalling McConnell’s motion earlier this month to stop the Massachusetts senator from reading a letter by Coretta Scott King during Sen. Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing.

“I hope you feel better now,” McConnell responded, according to the Hill.

McConnell will bring back nothing but a deficit because of trump's golf trips and guarding trump tower. $132 million dollars/yr for golfing trips and $183 million/yr to guard trump tower. And 0 coal jobs. But repugs are ok with that crap.

Wow, does he make me angry. I heard on the radio, he told the 100's of people that showed up to be heard, that the party in power gets to write the legislation. Period. OH!!!! You SOB!!! What about all the obstruction to the legislation of Dems and Obama? You SOB!!! Your self-serving rule only works for you and republicans, like, all the time I guess.

They only want their government and that is final. They only want fascism. They clearly do not want democracy.

Anger is a symptom of injustice. I feel anger everyday.

I applaud you!!! You spoke truth to power and the response was what a sociopath would say. He feels nothing. He cares about nothing. It is so painful dealing with people like him.

Is there a video of her speech?

when he promised to bring coal jobs back? I despise McConnell, but really that's stupidity on her part. Of course Mitch didn't believe it himself, but went along because he's as bad as Dump.
