(16,863 posts)His past positions reveal his true intentions. The man is a Dominionist through and through and he wishes for nothing more than a Theocratic United States. He is currently playing the game because he knows he is on the cusp of the presidency, a position which he knows in his heart he would NEVER have been elected to serve. Pence is playing the role of the "sane conservative" and I give him credit for playing it well. I told friends in the months leading up to the inauguration that we must keep our eyes on Pence, because I believed that the right wanted him, or at least someone like him, in the Presidency to begin with. Trump is an authoritarian and a fucktard, but Pence brings his own level of RWNJ ideals to the table. We, on the left, dismiss that to our own peril.
