You can't make this up: CPAC organizer denounces alt-right as left-wing fascist group

Source: WaPo

One of the first speeches at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference challenged the media to stop referring to the “alt-right,” a small, far-right movement that seeks a whites-only state and that strongly backed Donald Trump for president, as conservative.

“There is a sinister organization that is trying to warp its way into our ranks,” said Dan Schneider, the executive director of the American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC. “We must not be deceived by [a] hateful, left-wing fascist group.”

Over a few confusing minutes, Schneider argued that the “alt-right,” a term coined then popularized by the National Policy Institute’s Richard Spencer, was philosophically left-wing because it departed from his definition of conservatism, in which “the individual” is sovereign.

“They hate the Constitution. They hate free markets. They hate pluralism,” Schneider said. “Fascists tend to want big government control.”

From the same playbook that says that Nazism is a "left wing" ideology because hey, it says "socialist" right there in the name.

Yeah, like The Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea is all that.

They hate the Constitution... The right says the Constitution is a document that is "not alive", is "dead".

They hate free markets... As does the right when the free market doesn't go their way, the "other" gets a job, it's because of "affirmative action" for example, any action that does not enrich them is socialism is another.

They hate pluralism... Yes, the right loves it, they want the everyone to have the right to be the same as them.

...they will believe whatever they want to, you just can't reason with them.

I wonder how aware any of them are that they are literally the fascists? Some of 'em have to have a modicum of self-awareness.

Thought it was his own concoction, but apparently it was mixed up in Bannon's cauldron. Trump is just his shill.

This CPAC crony, Dan Schneider, is full of crap.

Fascists -- like the Republicans -- reject class struggle, which is a hallmark of liberalism. Fascists also scapegoat minorities and believe national identity is enveloped in a dominant race and/or culture, which goes against liberalism. Finally, unlike liberals, fascists are sexist and believe in rigid gender roles.

If you're listening to the CPAC conversations, they're equating Democrats with socialism and Cuba, no freedom. Socialism is killing Cuba and we don't want anything like that here. Be afraid of those Democrats. lol These people are brainwashed!
