The Military Industrial Complex is a beast that will eat our country's gdp if not checked by a competent government

1. What we need is a plan. A five year plan.

A captive labor force would be helpful as well.

2. The Soviets knew when Stalin died that their model wouldn't work

but the hardliners weren't about to give in to the Americans without a fight.

They were really at their end when Reagan starting pumping money back into our military. The Soviets stuck out another 10 years on pure stubbornness.

3. Are you being ironic? 'cause we already do that.

In the budget 57 cents out of every dollar goes to the Defense Dept. And that doesn't include the Dept of Energy (nukes) or the Dept of Veterans Affairs.

This is why we can't have nice things. Like healthcare.
