Seeing some of the consultants propping him up so they could stay on the gravy train left a bad taste in my mouth. If he's serious about implementing a 50-state strategy, he's going to need to redirect that money away from the consultant class and back toward the state parties. At this point it doesn't look like he will but I hope he does.

advocating on Perez's behalf. If our party is going to succeed in electing Dems across the country, money will need to be redirected away from said consultants. If Perez manages to do so, good on him. There's a reason why Howard Dean supported Buttigieg and then Ellison over Perez. He knows how to implement the 50 state strategy.

And her staff, and her consultants, all being paid long after she quit. That's a lot of money that could have gone to state and local parties.

I wish Perez the best, but I'll focus my time and money on more localized campaigns and issues. I guess I'm still a little gun shy.

I'll work on winning my state's executive positions, congress people, and GOTV efforts. I just don't have much faith in the National Party to collectively make he smartest decisions. Just the fact that Trump is in office should tell you that things at the DNC are seriously messed up (and I hope Perez can fix it)

Ellison stays in Congress - a STRONG voice for justice.

Wait and see if Perez too conventional, but our strength will be how effective our voices are locally.

Each district has its own weaknesses and strengths - some will positively respond to a more moderate message, others will flock to a "hot" opposition. Whatever works to regain control of Congress and the Senate.

Pragmatism to get the job done. Worry about overriding "big" philosophy later with an inclusive approach that challenges the status quo without scaring independents and previous non-voters away.

Implement a HUGE GOTV machine. Nuts and bolts. Nuts and bolts.

It will tell me something about party leaders' thinking and that's valuable information.

But maybe you're right that I shouldn't expect that kind of transparency from the DNC.
