Time for a Special Prosecutor
The White House, namely the Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus, has “asked” the FBI, Department of Justice, parts of the intelligence community, and the heads of the Congressional Intelligence Committees - Senator Burr (R-NC) and Representative Nunes (R-CA) - to “knock down” stories about Trump/Russian contacts/influence that are unfavorable to the White House. At best, they are tainted by this attempted (?) obstruction of justice. Is this conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice? Who ordered this? What did the President know and when did he know it?
This is a clear call for a special prosecutor since Attorney General Sessions (a former Trump campaign official) will not recuse himself. The special prosecutor must be independent and transparent with subpoena powers and the testimony must be sworn.
