RACHEL - DOSSIER AUTHOR WILL MOST LIKELY NOT TESTIFY IN SENATE INVESTIGATION

Mr. Steele went into hiding immediately after the Trump/Russia dossier was published by Buzzfeed. He has emerged and is back to work in London. Obviously, he is a key witness in any investigation of Trump involvement in the Russian campaign to elect Trump.

Rachel contacted Mark Warner today, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee and asked him if the committee would call Mr. Steele as a witness. Warner's reply was something like 'most likely at this point, he will not be called."

Rachel concluded that what happens in this entire travesty of Trump and Russia collusion in the presidential campaign, will be up to the press. Pieces pointing to collusion are falling into place day by day, she said. It is now up to the press.

Such is the case because the chair of the Senate investigative committee and the chair of the House investigative committee, were both major figures in the Trump campaign.

Other Rachel breaking news: today, Hawaii filed the first court suit challenging the revised, new Trump immigration ban.

UPDATE: Adam Schiff, ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, told Rachel that he will request that Mr. Steele testify before the committee. If there are any problems with him appearing, Rep. Schiff said that he, and likely other committee members would be happy to travel to wherever Mr. Steele would like, to interview him. My sense is that Rep. Schiff will be more aggressive in getting the committee to question Mr. Steele, than Senator Warner will be. Just a hunch, based on watching other TV interviews of Schiff and Warner.
