Leon Panetta, for whom I have the utmost respect, was on one of the evening news shows.

This guy has been everything, it seems. SecDef, CIA head, Chief of Staff, and the list goes on. He knows where the bodies are buried and where the memorials are. He was asked about 45/140.

While his answers were spot on and not favorable to the orange menace, the way he said what he said was . . . . . mmmm . . . . . too gentlemanly. Again, I hold him in very high regard, but man, he could have been so much stronger in his delivery. He could have been more like Elizabeth Warren. He, instead, used very diplomatic terms and phrases and tone and inflection.

We need fire breathers.

Did anyone catch Rep Bill Pascrell on any news clips today. He was EN FUEGO in whatever congressional hearing it was. He was "Tax Returns" this, and "Russia" that, and "Liar" and more. Angry, with a side of righteousness that was inspiring. He was breathing fire.

Our spokespeople need to show the passion I know they have. Watch Elijah Cummings. He doesn't hold back.
Maxine Waters is a great example. Elizabeth Warren, 'nuff said.

Listen to the stridency of the right wingers when they get air time. Not a shrinking violet among them. They breathe fire regularly.

Our side could take a lesson from their side. Our side can continue to say exactly what they say. No argument. Just add the belly full of fire.

will be kicked out of office. You're damned right we need the fire breathers, our country is under attack by the most ignorant SOB ever, abetted by the most corrupt Congress ever. Making nice with insanity and thievery is just not going to play in Peoria or anywhere else.

Yes, the personality cultists will stand by their man, they always do. I do think they're a small percentage of his support and his support is waking up every time another brick from that shoddily built Republican brick wall falls on them.

Panetta isn't in office, so he can play "good cop" as much as he wants to. It's just going to be a ticket to irrelevance.
