visits to several countries but the SOS staff has not provided the MSM with a travel schedule. Mitchell went on to say the national press has always traveled with the SOS as long as she could remember. Now they are forced to travel commercial air to try and keep up with Tillerson.
Tillerson is more of an arrogant asshole than anyone could have believed.

if Tillerson never speaks to the Press he cannot lie to them.
They really should change his title to Secretary of Oil.

I mean on the one hand--how do we know they aren't infiltrated too? And on the other, these are the folks that overthrow other governments at the bidding of the military-corporate-big oil-complex.
In the course of past history, I've found their thinking, aims and methods absolutely as destabilizing, capricious and oligarch-serving as almost anything else going on.
I mean they overthrew the democratically elected head of Iran, Mohammed Mosadeggh, way back in the 50's and installed the cruel and dictatorial Shah---for oil. For oil! And it's one of the roots of the mess we're in, in the Middle East today.
If these are the guys we're counting on to save our Democracy, God help us.

(42,641 posts)So far, Comrade Trump has been enriching himself heavily at the Public's expense.
That's the post of the year. Last year, this year, and how-ever long this ordeal continues.
THE reason why you can't, and shouldn't, try to run the government like a business. They're. Just. NOT. The. Same. Thing.

US Code
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 807; Pub. L. 103322, title XXXIII, § 330016(2)(J), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)
Seems to me that both that there seems to be an awful lot of evidence coming out that strongly implies that both Trump and Tillerson meet the legal definition of treason. I would love to see this proved in an Impeachment proceeding, criminal court, and then a Millitary firing squad to let everyone that the US stands strong and will not suffer treason lightly.
Note: Please notice that I am not advocating illegal violence against the President or anyone else. I am stating an opinion that if proved that Trump is a willing actor putting the interests of Russia ahead of the United States he and those persons working in concert with him should suffer the maximum penalty allowable by law, duly imposed by a legally constituted court having the appropriate jurisdiction.

(2,226 posts)Has spoken aloud in defense of trump at this point in time, knowing what we know now, especially with the Wikileaks's drops, are all also guilty of treason for aiding and abetting Russia in trying to wreck our country, democracy and institutions.
It's time to put up and herd the traitors in some nice prison, like Guantanamo. Sessions seems to think it's nice.
