The Trump team reminds me of ISIS fighters who used sledgehammers on Iraq's antiquities.

They're in tear-down mode.Wipe it out mode.

They think they're tough nuts, many of them multi-millionaires who find it easy to bellow about that bootstrap thing, since they don't have to worry about personal sacrifice. They actually claim after school programs that feed children do no good, too much waste in Meals on Wheels program. Cut Pell Grants, forget diplomacy. Civil rights? Famines in Sudan? Independent judiciary?

The Trump team has swapped principled oratory for flat-out lies, a respect of historical traditions for a wrecking ball, the sober assessment of war and peace for reckless talk about nuclear weapons.

Trump moved relatives and White Nationalists into the White House, allowed Kellyanne Conway to hawk his daughters merchandise, and chose an out-to-lunch brain surgeon as the best person to oversee HUD.

Their lack of respect for our country is heartbreaking, their degradation of our standing in the world is infuriating and the destruction of almost everything we've held dear is sickening.

We must nonviolently RESIST like our lives depend on it.
