(19,107 posts)The N Korean people are starving, dying, and working at slave labor camps. Their leaders are truly evil. The world needs to do something to help.
Now the clowns in charge of the US aren't capable of running a Dairy Queen much less a war, but they aren't off base in saying Kim Jong Un's government needs to go.

The world should do something to help those people, not the USA though, not alone.

(3,335 posts)put a bullet in L'il Kim's head and be done with this. You've got a family of dictator's who have been starving their nation for generations while the family of dick-tator's live high on the hog, and kill people for pleasure. There shouldn't be that many family members remaining since the family of tyrants don't trust one another and have been killing members off. It wouldn't take a coup to pull this off; just a handful of people who know that I could be next if the L'il tyrant decided that I wasn't crying loud enough or applauding hard enough at their next staged event. If the little dick-tator can spend money on nuclear weapons and other things, while his people die of malnutrition, someone with a bullet in his gun, needs to permanently loan it to the little dick-tator.
Once L'il Kim is dead, the people then should all rise up like the people did in Romania after the fall of communist and having found out how well their dick-tator Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife, Elena, were living in their castle with gold toilet seats, they stormed the place and took them outside and shot them by firing squad. Tyrants who show no mercy, don't deserve any mercy. Someone in their next May Day parade of weapons has access to real bullets, and L'il Kim needs to join his father and grandfather in the afterworld.

(4,229 posts)His preparations brought them to the table, but the GOP congress refused to make good on our part of it and while "W" was preoccupied with the middle east they got their nukes. I do think they are way more of a threat than ISIS and I don't entirely disagree with his statement.
Soon after the agreement was signed, U.S. Congress control changed to the Republican Party, who did not support the agreement.[16][17] Some Republican Senators were strongly against the agreement, regarding it as appeasement.[18][19] Initially U.S. Department of Defense emergency funds not under Congress control were used to fund the transitional oil supplies under the agreement,[20] together with international funding. From 1996 Congress provided funding, though not always sufficient amounts.[11][21] Consequently, some of the agreed transitional oil supplies were delivered late.[22] KEDO's first director, Stephen Bosworth, later commented "The Agreed Framework was a political orphan within two weeks after its signature".[23]
Some analysts believe North Korea agreed to the freeze primarily because of the U.S. agreement to phase out economic sanctions that had been in place since the Korean War. But because of congressional opposition, the U.S. failed to deliver on this part of the agreement.[24]

(4,438 posts)Would mean an absolute and total failure of the United States State Department to have done its mission.
Sadly, he may be correct- since it would indicate total failure on his part, and the part of his boss.

(17,191 posts)The assessment was made by Michael Rego, an exploration consultant with access to North Korean geophysical data that has so far received little international attention.
...
China conducted surveys off the west coast in the 1960s. Subsequently, Russia has also conducted surveys along with Taurus Petroleum in Switzerland and Malaysias Petronas.
NK News reports Rego saying that the West Sea definitely has oil and has flowed oil at reasonable rates from at least two exploration wells.
I'm sure China wouldn't mind if we liberated the poor souls of NK. Why, with the potential oil to be found, the war would pay for itself! Trust me!
