(5,611 posts)tomorrow because the election night was just fucking awful and I don't want to count my chickens. BUT it is so ridiculous to see Fox claiming "oh...five or so..." vs CNN's much larger number, which basically fits with the numbers the other day.

(8,168 posts)Get this farce over and let's move on.
Freedom caucus wants more ghoulish, moderate district Republicans want less - you pull the string one way, it takes away from the other side. Seems DOA to me.

(25,504 posts)Making it worse and worse so it will appeal to the Freedumb Caucus. They want to have policies that don't cover this and don't cover that. Cancer policies, no cancer policies etc.

(21,596 posts)I'm a single parent with a young child.
I've been calling my cowardly, fundamentalist, right-wing, asshole GOP congressman's office daily so that I can tell him to NOT vote for the GOP "Health Care Plan" and why.
Oh yeah, I reminded the staff person who answers the phone, that he's a public servant who works for me and ALL of his constituents, not just the GOPers who voted for him, and that he must come to our town and meet with us in person. (He's too chickenshit to come to a University town: too many well-educated people and non-white people and Muslim people and Democrats, among others.)

(478 posts)Lou Barletta (R-PA) was a firm no as of last night. But I just saw him on the national news bragging about changing his vote. He said that he knew if he held out long, he'd get something from dRump for his district.

(61,697 posts)If the "gossip" has made the rounds, then some of the Rs will be abandoning 45. Maybe they don't want to see him succeed. Maybe they want to be as far removed from him as possible. Maybe they hope he'll be dejected and quit.
