As is my custom, no links to FreepTown. The thread is easy enough to find if you want it.These people are so stupid. They have one chance to repeal this thing. ONE. It'll drag out until the mid-terms when enough people that are sick of Trump will come out to vote and turn the tide in one or both of the houses of Congress. Then we'll forever be stuck with Obamacare.

Stop bothering the President and whining to him about your failures.
Get back to the congress and do the job you're paid to do!

(28,333 posts)come out ahead of Trump. Which is exactly why I hope when Trump is impeached, Pence does not go with him. I do NOT want to see a President Ryan. He's slicker than baby shit, calculating, and he knows how to play the camera.

(14,530 posts)His hands are not clean in this fiasco. . So if trump goes and pence becomes president, pence will also have to resign/be impeached.
So pence has to go 1st. Then Benedict Donald gets to nominate a VP. The houses have to confirm the nominee. We will still have a republican in the white house, but they would have to make it through a confirmation, where the Democrats can wield some power to keep any of the cast from the "House of Treason" away from the Oval Office.
We will find out where the FBI stands if pence is allowed to become president or if he is indicted 1st. Because there is no way they should allow 2 impeachments in succession. If Pence becomes president, I don't think they will go after his involvement. Then he gets to name a new VP for confirmation.

(28,333 posts)The mythology of his biggest selling point - that he was a business guy who was going to make great deals? That's in tatters now.

The republicans can write any legislation when they want. They control both houses. They can write new repeal and replace legislation every week until they can pass it. How many times did the house Republiklans vote to repeal the ACA in entirety or part? 40?50?60?

(11,728 posts)ACA is a Republican bill with a few tweaks so that it actually worked for the average person. Republicans have nowhere left to go on healthcare except a worse bill than ACA, a better bill than ACA meaning single payer or public option, or just kill the bill without a replacement which will plunge the economy back into turmoil.
Republican rank and file are too stupid to understand that they were check mated by President Obama.

(3,013 posts)I nosed around there (and now I need some anti-nausea meds) and it seems they don't want Ryan's bill passed and they disagree with Trump wanting a replacement instead of a flat out repeal.
Am I wrong to assume that website is home to hard right that doesn't care if grandma or their nephews and nieces die because they can't get care when they are ill?
