What's in the minds of the Freedom Caucus????

From their perspective, the horrible bill about to be voted on is WAY BETTER than the affordable care act. And they know they can never get EVERYTHING. So why trash it?

Don't get me wrong. I'm delighted.

But puzzled.

I'm sure there is some deep, psychological reason for that and it surely must include self-loathing. So here they deal a mortal blow to Eddie Munster and in turn they get what?

I guess the advantage of having a victory doesn't outweigh the sheer pleasure of being a spoiler?

I'm guessing. These people are too far beyond the looking glass.

The Freedom Caucus are now a weird mix of Christo-fascists, white nationalists, and those either actual ex industry benefactors or weak willed and controlled by their extremist donors.
From what I understand, the best way to grasp them is to understand the Koch Libertarian model, the John Birch Society, and the latest name in the news-
The Mercers.
I think it was 1980 that David Koch ran under the Liberatarian ticket. The platform is telling. It is important to understand that while some liberatarians have a socially liberatarian as well as economic, these right wing ideologues to do not. In that same breath- they will lobby for the fetus but then lobby for the poor newborn to be stripped of aide. What is happening in states like
Kansas, corrupt courts and DCFS services are targeting non Christian, leftist, poor, or otherwise not like them, and taking their children and through ridiculous legal battles, are placing the children in "approved" white Christian homes. It is reminiscent of the Native American children who were stolen from their parents to be sent to live with "civilized" Christian families, in order to " assimilate the savages"
So there is that, the ideology of keeping a Eurostate, if it cannot be ethically and skin color " pure" this fringe will do what they can to weed out people that are undesirable to them and what they feel is a drain on society, under the model- assimilate and prosper or go F off somewhere. The defunding of the social programs planned shows a form of Eugenics by proxy, they want to shape the state in their own image by any means necessary.
It is quite evil, quite Nazi like, and it is not hyperbole to see these politicians who are backed by ridiculous dark money, as a clear and present danger to many. The worst part is that they are gaining popularity in the die hard Trump voter aka future brown shirts.

They point to government, call it "broken" and whip up the masses.

If this actually passes, that strategy goes out the window. Better for them to let it fail so they still have something to run against.

They think they can get the repeal because it was a repub sweep last time it came up....then go from there (which wouldn't happen).
