(58,785 posts)well groomed, respectable, middle class, Christian southerners who've also determinedly compartmented away their morals and consciences whenever they get in the way of their political partisanship. Which these days is, let's face it, constantly.

(58,785 posts)as a right-wing intellectual leader is a ridiculous joke. He only looks smart in that crowd. Many can read and write complex sentences, like Bannon, but a genuinely wise and insightful extremist is so rare as to almost be an oxymoron.
But many of the brains hired by people like the kochtopus and Robert Spencer are anything but idiots. We don't know the names of most of the really dangerous people we need to worry about, but they are working intensely to not just keep power but grow it.
