Yeah, cause it makes perfect sense for any Dem to cross party lines to support this horror show of a bill that has 17% approval and undo the last Dem President's signature piece of legislation and kick millions off their health care to help protect you and congressional Republicans from committing political suicide. (2,936 posts)Although if I were a Dem in congress, I'd be saying "You guys control everything. You want to give us credit for being powerful enough to kill a bill with 17% approval when you have the House, Senate, and Presidency? Be my guest. And, uh, Thanks"

Since the shoe's on the other foot, it doesn't feel too good, huh?
Things work so well when there are ideas and suggestions from all sides discussed, changed, merged and even some discarded to come up with a plan where we can ALL agree it's the best we're going to get. NOBODY gets everything they want, but we end up with a bill we can all live with.
Give & take on both sides is the best way to go, but we haven't tried that yet. Get kicked in the arse often enough and maybe you think it's worth a try.
