I hear many say that the Russian spy operation is too big too complex.

Yes it is big and yes it is a complex operation. But it could only survive with willing US citizen involvement. At any point their (the Russians and their US accomplices) conspiracy could have been discovered. Putin's spies planned well and picked their targets with care.
The US citizens recruited others to help their plan proceed with care. Manafort has been a Russian agent for a long time. They disguised his spying activities within his business activities. I wonder how long Flynn has been a double agent? Was he recruited while still in the Army?

Then the new recruits, the Turkish meeting with Flynn and Woolsey was really a meeting to recruit Woolsey. The best thing Woolsey did was to walk away from the Trump campaign. You might wonder what on earth is Flynn doing plotting to kidnapp someone and fly them to Turkey? It was really an attempt to trap Woolsey. The Turkish get the man they wanted and the Russians get their man (Woolsey) by blackmail. (Woolsey was another higher up in the Trump Camp at the time.)

Now look at Nunes. He acts and conducts himself mighty strange for a man to be investigating a crime. He runs to talk to the defendant about his own investigation and its progress? Then you find out Nunes is connected to Flynn and the Turkish plus the Russians also?

Yes it is a complex operation but it has been running for a long time. This Russian spy operation has to be rooted out of our United States government. It cannot be overlooked. The Russians are dug in deep within the Trump administration. The Russians are combining their spying 1 with human intelligence 2. their own spy network and 3. their cyber spying abilities.

The GOP is helping the Russians complete their spying operation mission by running interference to the counter US spy operations being performed by US spy ops.

Tell the GOP loud and clearly, "GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!"

For years the Turkish government was frustrated with the U.S. for not acting militant enough against the Russian client state that Assad heads up. Turkey has also long been rebuffed in their desire to join the EU, and they have subsequently been slowly turning away from the West. Now U.S. policy under Trump has begun turning against the EU. Trumps support of Brexit is just a start. There are so many moving pieces in this drama, both locally and internationally.

Mike Rogers was the chair in 2015. Boehner resigned in October 2015. Nunes became chair in 2015.

So it appears Boehner appointed Mike Rogers but I think RAyan appointed Nunes.

If someone has better info please share.

Rep. Devin Nunes to Serve as Intelligence Committee Chairman in the 114th Congress
November 18, 2014|Speaker Ryan's Press Office

WASHINGTON, DC – House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) today announced that Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) will chair the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in the 114th Congress:

“Today we face a sophisticated and determined terrorist enemy that is intent on killing more and more Americans, not to mention innocents around the globe. We also face rogue states like Iran and North Korea that continue to thumb their noses at the United States. The world is becoming increasingly dangerous and the Intelligence Committee is vital to our efforts to protect the American people. Over the past four years, Devin has been instrumental in ensuring that our intelligence professionals have the resources they need to keep America safe. He has asked tough questions and conducted serious oversight to hold the Obama administration accountable. I look forward to working with him as the next chairman of the Intelligence Committee.”

Nunes to head House Intel Committee
By Jake Sherman
11/18/14 03:53 PM EST

California Rep. Devin Nunes will be the next chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

Nunes, who was elected in 2002, replaces Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers, who is retiring. Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) appoints the chairman of the Intelligence and Ethics committees. He named Pennsylvania Rep. Charlie Dent as chairman of the Ethics Committee.

Nunes, a close ally of Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), is also on the Ways and Means Committee. Nunes represents the Central Valley of California.

Florida Rep. Jeff Miller and New York Rep. Pete King were also vying for the intelligence gavel.
