Fight back, Warren tells cheering crowd in Framingham
Some waited more than an hour for a chance to hear Warren speak, queuing up in a line that stretched into the basement of the building and outdoors
"It seems like whenever there's some big news item, she's always there speaking out about it," DiSabato said, "fighting against it or protesting."
Warren fielded more than a dozen questions during the event, which followed similar Town Hall meetings in Worcester and Springfield earlier this month. In wide-ranging remarks, Warren voiced support for a single-payer health care system and attacked several of Trump's appointees, saying she supports a Democratic plan to filibuster Trump's nominee to the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch.

(67,782 posts)...so I may have to get up to MA to help in Warren's re-election campaign.
I'll probably also get up to Vermont next year to help Al Giordano in his primary campaign to get the Democratic nomination for Senate, too. The governor's election is up for grabs in Vermont next year, too - we have to get rid of that republican in office. Amazing that some Vermont politicians' priorities were more important to themselves than retaining the Governor's office.

It's great to see such leadership from within the party!

(83,746 posts)She is one of our true leaders. One of the things that I like about her the best, she is a team player. She knows how to work with others and has a back and forth dialogue. It is about the sharinging of ideas that makes us strong. She knows we do this as a team or not at all.
Elizabeth Warren 2018~ Please come out and fight with us!

She's amazing! We're lucky to have people like her in this party. With all the election turmoil, many have forgotten exactly how effective our Democratic leaders are, they know their stuff, do their homework and fight the fight.
If only people weren't so lazy about educating themselves and didn't rely so much on mainstream media and their chosen echo chamber to learn about who these people are. Imagine what would have happened if all that media generated drama was ignored and people could have been encouraged to come out and vote at all levels of government.
I had the privilege of seeing a few of our Dem reps and senators interacting with young people, and the energy in the room was amazing. These weren't rallies or large events, which have their place, but more intimate ones, where people of all ages got to talk to them in smaller groups, and left them inspired!
I'm glad so many people have become engaged after this catastrophe. I can't help watching people like Trott and the various other cowards ducking their bosses, and thinking imagine what could have been!
We are indivisible, no matter how hard obvious troublemakers try, we're not going to sit back and let these reps forget who they represent. The GOP has literally forgotten and are busy abusing their constituents, after seeing that contempt in person, let's get everyone registered, informed and able to discern real news from the fake. The time for complacency is over.

MA is lucky to have Warren and Markey as our senators. Warren is on top of all the important issues and is not afraid to make her voice heard. Well, you know she is on the mark as she is getting under tRumps skin again...he has gone back to calling her Pocahontas. Ha! Good work Senator Warren.
Thanks synergie, you are so right " The time for complacency is over."

(1,901 posts)We've got excellent folks representing us. I think the tendency these day is to focus on the rallies, Trump sure does love them, but we're all forgetting that the the WORK of the Senate and the House is done, not in interviews and televised town halls, but on the floor and in the committees.
