Rupert Murdoch to Mitt Romney: Drop the ‘old friends’ from your campaign and hire ‘some real pros’

Murdoch’s advice to Romney appeared to be aimed at the candidate’s reputation for relying heavily on a small circle long-time advisers, some of whom have little experience in presidential politics.

Romney’s confidants include family members and others whom he has known for many years, such as communications specialist Eric Fehrnstrom, fund-raiser Spencer Zwick, campaign manager Matt Rhoades, and adviser Beth Myers, who is leading the vice presidential search.

In the spring, as his nomination became increasingly likely, Romney began to expand his team by adding veteran outsiders, such as Ed Gillespie, a former chairman of the Republican National Committee and a strategist for President George W. Bush.

Romney's support is so thin that even Rupert Murdoch is telling him there is only so much a media mogul can do to prop him up. Group think and butt-kissers is what Romney is used to. I don't think he will dump any of them. Part of what keeps Romney looking so weird and so inept on the campaign trail is this cult-of-Mitt group that is running his campaign.

You can rage and blow Mister Murdoch but Romney will never give up his circle of sycophants. Romney has never done anything challenging in his life. Applied himself to neither athletics nor school work. He has nothing in the way of qualifications for the highest office. Romney's father demanded that Mitt's mother, and now Mitt, succeed where he failed but Mitt doesn't have what it takes. He grew up with the rules bent and the bills paid by someone else. People have been telling him what he wants to hear all his life and he isn't going to change now. December of the year he will be back with his dancing horses and his costumes.

...rMoney is already in high 30s in those swing states and it isn't august yet.

Not only that the 70milion he's raising a month isn't for him but to hold congressional seats, one of his sons were quoted saying rMoney campaign is seeking more money last month

There was a feeling on the Right that Romney could raise and spend the money it would take to beat Obama. Romney has money but what the Great Media Satan is telling him here is that he doesn't have a message, at least not one that is in any way compelling.

"Replace Obama-care" with Romney-care ?! That's what they will spend a billion dollars to tell voters ??
