Reports: Boehner To Meet With Netanyahu In Israel

Source: TPM

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) will travel to Israel at the end of the month to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who just won re-election, according to reports from CNN and Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

Israeli officials told Haaretz that Boehner will lead a delegation of Republican congressmen on a trip to Israel on March 31. Boehner reportedly confirmed the trip when Netanyahu spoke before Congress two weeks ago, before the Prime Minister won re-election.

Haaretz described the trip as a "victory celebration" for Netanyahu.

Boehner's trip to Israel will follow Netanyahu's controversial speech before Congress, during which he warned the Congress against a "bad deal" with Iran. Boehner invited Netanyahu to deliver the speech without first notifying the White House.

For the republican's upcoming war they want to start with Iran on Bibi's behalf.

I'm being only partly cynical here...what's it going to take to charge him and the other 46 traitors with treason?

We all know damn well it's going to be discussed in some form while they're there.

This seems like a very desperate attempt to show that the House Republicans are capable of doing SOMETHING other than investigating Benghazi and Hillary's email, plus trying in vain to repeal the ACA.

In other words, Bonehead is looking in vain for a relevance that has so far eluded him as Speaker of the House. So far, all he has succeeded in doing is make himself Weaker in the House.

If there is supposed to be a change in the wind somewhere, I sure don't hear any leaves rustling.

If a democrat had done this to a republican president, the white house would have been screaming 24/7 about how the democrats are interfering in foreign policy and how they are being unpatriotic and how they are threatening national security.

All democrats do is issue a strong worded statement -- not enough.

Just like Jimmy Carter before him, Obama is a nice guy who won the presidency against weak opponents due to unusual circumstances. He should havelearned from Jimmy Carter and had some hardball playing aides instead of being gentlemanly all the time.

Repukes are rascals and always play hardball -- that is their reptilian nature. I would like to see Obama announce anews conference and state how Bonehead's trip to Israel is unpatriotic and undermining national security.

Go on the offensive for heaven's sake - this is not cricket.

Very convenient. Of course I expect they are not in session that week for their hundredth break. How many will stay the whole week? Most I'm sure. The (real) "liberal media" needs to start calculating and publishing the cost of the junket.
