New chain of Willie Nelson marijuana stores to open within a year

Source: The Guardian

th marijuana becoming legal in an increasing number of US states, long time weed advocate Willie Nelson is to launch is own brand of the drug, as well as stores to sell it.

The 81-year-old country legend let slip his plans to launch his Willie’s Reserve brand while talking to the Daily Beast , which followed up by interviewing the infant brand’s spokesperson, pot lobbyist Michael Bowman.

“Right now we’ll focus on the states where legalisation has occurred, and as new states open up, those opportunities will present themselves on a state-by-state basis,” Bowman said, adding that “there will be movement” within the next year on opening the store.

“This is a culmination of Willie’s vision, and his whole life,” Bowman said. “I’m not sure any of us could have predicted how fast the dominoes would start falling once they started falling (in terms of legalisation).”

No, it isn't. Willie's "whole life" has been about much more than this.

Willie can go "on the road" to convince politicians to legalize markets in states where cannabis is criminalized.

Just saying, there are loads of small, budding anteprenuer businesses that produce AT LEAST as good of a product at a far better price than something with Wiilie's name on it.

I just purchased a bottle of CrystalHead Vodka, a Dan Akroid product that I heard about in his interview with Howard Stern. He had supposedly won a prestigious award in Russia for the product, as it is "pure" and void of additives, etc. the bottle cost $50 minimum a litre, but I wanted to try it. I'll take the minute additives, and $35 in my pocket any time.

It was decent, but hey, it was vodka; and I happen to have a bottle of Polish vodka in my freezer that I enjoy ten times more. The CrystalHead comes in a nice glass skull bottle, but what's inside wasn't that impressive to me. Just saying.

I grew my own bush a few years back, and I'm still enjoying a good quality "puff" when the moment is right. The stuff being sold in the stores here in Washington is fine, but for $40 for a tiny sample is a bit much. My daughter told me my grow is even superior to what she bought. Just saying.

So for my dollar, I'll buy the product without the celebrity name....anyday!
