Comcast plans to drop Time Warner deal -Bloomberg

(Reuters) - Comcast Corp plans to drop its offer to buy Time Warner Cable Inc in the face of opposition from U.S. regulators, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The cable operator could announce its decision as soon as Friday, Bloomberg said.

a) the Comcast/Time Warner merger; and b) Net Neutrality.

I'm not saying it wasn't worth it, just pointing out how many other issues we are losing or not making gains simply because we are getting blasted by the 1%ers.

Comcast-Time Warner was going to be the Death Star of cable companies. And the argument that the companies needed to consolidate in the face of mounting pressure from online providers like Netflix doesn't hold up given how diversified they are already.

Murdoch tried to buy Time Warner Inc, not Time Warner Cable.

They're two entirely separate companies.
