Obama: GOPers Like Huck, Trump Would Be 'Ridiculous' If They Weren't So Sad

Source: TPM

President Barack Obama on Monday chided the Republican presidential field, in particular Donald Trump and Mike Huckabee, for cheapening the political debate with what he said were "outrageous attacks."

During a news conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Obama was asked to respond to a remark that Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor, made over the weekend comparing a landmark nuclear deal with Iran to the Holocaust. Huckabee said that in sealing the deal, the President "will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven."

Obama said Huckabee's remark was "part of just a general pattern that we've seen that would be considered ridiculous if it weren't so sad."

He then suggested Huckabee may have made the comment in an effort to steal headlines away from real estate mogul Donald Trump, who's dominated the news in recent weeks for his disparaging comments about Mexican immigrants and Sen. John McCain's (R-AZ) war record, according to CBS News.

And the bloviator will include "loser", "failure", and will probably find a way to include "criminal" in his description of Obama.

The Party of Trolls needs a good troll-slamming, and who is a better troll slayer than Obama?

Watch the whole clip, Obama really goes after the inflammatory, and sad, GOP rhetoric.

"We have had a Republican Party Presidential candidate call my Secretary of State John Kerry Pontius Pilate. Another sitting Senator has called ME the world leader of State-sponsored terrorism".

Sad also where the faces of Joe and Mika, so sad to be so softly but clearly exposed as cheerleading the insanity.

Killing them softly, from Ethiopia no less!

Not my preferred method but there are various ways to skin various species of trolls.

Fascist trolls gathering in herd are the toughest to kill, as Obama plainly knows.

she really went off on Huckabee's comments about marching Israelis off to the gas ovens (regarding the Iran deal) - even saying those comments should disqualify him from the race.

We have the longest, most drawn out, expensive and even ridiculous political / electoral system in the world. And in recent years, Citizens United has only aggravated this situation to the max. Our politicians are a national and international disgrace. Someone who shouldn't have been elected president, like George W. Bush, manages to make it into the White House, and then he lets loose his insanity on the entire world. The rest of the world only sees what the crazy leader does on the world stage, but they don't know the half of it; they don't know our even crazier political process that lets these dimwits and wingnuts into the corridors of power. We, on the other hand, know our crazy political system only too well, and have grown used to its insanity - and a lot of what the crazy elected leaders do abroad are totally lost on Americans, who are totally lost and clueless about the rest of the world anyway. This is what I have learned and experienced from my many years as a world traveler.
