Donald Trump used as reason for 2 brothers beating, peeing on homeless Mexican: Cops

BOSTON -- The Mexican government has confirmed that a homeless Boston man police was beaten by two brothers, one of whom said he was inspired by Donald Trump's views on immigrants, was a citizen of Mexico.

The brothers urinated on the 58-year-old man, punched him and beat him with a metal pole while he slept near a train station, and one of them said afterwards that Trump was right about deporting "all these illegals," police said.

Daniel Hernandez Joseph, the consul general of Mexico in Boston, condemned the attack, saying his government would "take the necessary measures to defend the rights and interests of Mexicans," The Boston Globe reported.

The brothers, Scott Leader and Steve Leader, were being held without bail on charges including assault and indecent exposure. They pleaded not guilty.

This reeks of The Establishment trying to damage Trump's rise over 'Their Candidate' Jeb, by using this crime to their political advantage.

Ain't gonna work.

The Establishment is reeling from Trump's ascendancy, so look for much more of this ugliness.

Thanks for this heads up, Judi Lynn.

And we need to make Trump own this. His 'shrugged' shoulders and dismissing his followers as 'passionate' is unacceptable.

South Boston brothers allegedly beat homeless man

Police say victim was targeted because he is Hispanic

By Sara DiNatale and Maria Sacchetti Globe Correspondent and Globe Staff August 19, 2015

The homeless man was lying on the ground, shaking, when police arrived early Wednesday. His face was soaked, apparently with urine, his nose broken, his chest and arms battered.

Police said two brothers from South Boston ambushed the 58-year-old as he slept outside of a Dorchester MBTA stop, and targeted him because he is Hispanic. One of the brothers said he was inspired in part by GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The allegations ignited widespread condemnation Wednesday.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh said the brothers “should be ashamed of themselves.” Boston’s top prosecutor, Daniel F. Conley, called the case “sickening.”

. . .

The man was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he remained in fair condition Wednesday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said. The police report said he had a broken nose, bruises on his head, and a large bruise across his torso.

The brothers walked away from the scene laughing, a witness told State Police.

These two idiots will be charged. I will be interested in hearing the Donald explain why this is not his fault. Then I will enjoy watching the Mexican gentleman to sue the brothers into eternity in a civil suit.
I would like to progressive Democrats introduce these human beings that the republicans seem to hate. Let us see who they are. They are not hard to find. There apparently is about 11 million. I want to meet them on my TV.

There has been a long standing antagonism in Boston between the Irish and darker skinned people. I'm not sure why, but I think it has something to do with the fact that they are both kind of oppressed groups in a prosperous city and are competing for the same resources. Also, the Boston busing crisis kind of fueled that hatred as well.

Trump probably lit the fuse, but that hatred has been there for a long time. When I lived in Charlestown (in a decent area near the monument) I would get in a taxi w/ an AA cab driver and when I told him where I was going he would ask me to get out because he was afraid to go there because of the racist Irish gangs. I didn't like it, but I could't blame him. This city has a shameful reputation for Irish on (and to be fair, probably other white ethnics) dark skinned people racism.
