Scott Walker backs bill to block federal money for Planned Parenthood

Ashland, N.H. - Gov. Scott Walker says he supports legislation that aims to block federal money from going to Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin.

Walker has repeatedly touted defunding Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin -- or cutting off state funds to the group -- on the campaign trail as he runs for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

When asked by a reporter Thursday about some federal money that still flows to Planned Parenthood, Walker said, "We have legislation up in the state right now that would ultimately prohibit that from happening in the state of Wisconsin."
..................

Sam Guzman, spokesman for Pro-Life Wisconsin, estimated that both bills combined would block about $7.5 million in federal funding from going to Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin each year.

Noting that state defunding of Planned Parenthood led to 5 clinics closing, Guzman added, "This would close a lot more."

Both could face a legal challenge...............

Jacque is an obese jerk!

..............The legislation , which state Rep. André Jacque (R-De Pere) began circulating last month, would involve the state Department of Health Services trying to take control of federal money known as Title X funding allocated to Wisconsin, essentially in an effort to block that money from going to Planned Parenthood.
..............

Another Jacque bill requires that family planning clinics such as Planned Parenthood, which acquire drugs at the discounted rates available through a Medicaid program (known as 340B), would be limited to billing Medicaid at the actual acquisition cost plus a dispensing fee.........

Bills target women’s health providers

...............State Rep. André Jacque, R-De Pere, is proposing two bills he says would cut off “half of the funding Planned Parenthood receives in Wisconsin.” One bill would redirect Title X funds from Planned Parenthood to other public health programs and agencies. The other would cut the amount of money Planned Parenthood receives in Medicaid reimbursements to the same level as other health care providers, such as major hospitals. Currently, Planned Parenthood receives higher reimbursement levels.

“What I’m proposing is the norm state-by-state,” Jacque said. “It’s not taking money away as much as it is taking away a loophole.”

Wisconsin has 22 Planned Parenthood clinics, which is about the same as in neighboring Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota. While redirecting Title X funding would affect clinics in the urban areas of Wisconsin, the proposed changes to Medicaid concern rural providers, Safar said.

“A majority of our clients are low-income, dependent on Medicaid for receiving health care,” she said, “In order to afford the medicine and services they need, we need to be reimbursed at a closer rate to the cost of medicine than places like hospitals that get money through private insurance.”

how does it really feel to be a compassionate conservative attacking a woman's right too privacy, because apparently theirs not much else to do.

But when and if someone where to attack your right of privacy you would be standing on your soap box screaming to the top of your right wing lungs that you don't like the government infringing on that right------------------you and your little buddy (who by the way looks like one of the clowns running for president, and I might add, has a expense voucher of over $200,000 paid by the taxpayers of his state to just gorge on whatever he wants, while his state just lost another 13,000 jobs in July------------Courier-Post 8/21/15) you really have a double standard of hypocrisy don't you.
How many jobs have you created Rep. André Jacque with your little right wing hack, Walker in the last two years------------compared to Minnesota, not much, but you have time to push your bills of attacking women's rights
So the question that needs to be asked Rep. André Jacque, do you have an expense account like the clown from New Jersey---------if so,------------ the human beings in Wisconsin should be asking for your expense reports to see how much your being paid --------------because apparently it is a lot
