Republicans squeal when Hillary Clinton compares them to ‘terrorist groups’ on women’s issues
Source: RawStory
At a campaign appearance in Ohio, former Secretary of State and Democratic 2016 frontrunner Hillary Clinton said that Republicans extreme views on womens issues are like those of a terrorist group.
Mashable.com reported that Clinton was speaking to an audience at Case Reserve Western University Thursday.
Now extreme views about women, we expect that from some of the terrorist groups, we expect that from people who dont want to live in the modern world, but its a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be the President of the United States, said Clinton. They are dead wrong for 21st Century America. We are going forward. We are not going back, she said.
Republicans were quick to take umbrage to the candidates suggestion that their views on abortion, contraception, equal pay and gender identity are the same as al Qaedas or those of the Islamic State.

My advice to them, if they can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen

i'm just hoping HRC is willing to hold this one.
or at most do the standard political non-apology "well i'm sorry that some people took offense at my harmless truthful words"

and it is a healthy sign
Just beware the MSM can magnify and grill something they don't like
Like Dukakis in a tank, while ignoring Willy Horton ads
Hope she has an on-demand PR attack team like Obama had because he
never would have made it without them

(581 posts)brain power to understand what they are wanting to do to this nation. IS it taking 17 candidates to run for President to win the White House. Are they all that incompetent, it a gamble which one will win the GOP primary? Wake up folks to the GOP. They are hijacked and undermined America.
NO one calls them out on any issues. The press is bowing to them.

(2,978 posts)What I think some of her supporters don't get about the visceral moral exhaustion some of us have about the Clintons is how she seems to constantly calculate her positions instead of letting her vision lead her.
For example, as opposed as I am to neoliberal ideology, I'd prefer she just passionately articulate why she believes free market-based policies are best for people rather than deny it's been her approach for years or that she has very close friends on Wall Street. Instead, she seems to conveniently, suddenly espouse economic populist positions. It makes you not trust anything about her.
I love that she's kicking ass on Republican misogynist extremism and calling them out. I'd love to see more of it. It'd certainly make it easier for me to vote for her if she wins the primary (which I'll do anyway, but with no joy).
What I really wish is that she could be unleashed as a domestic and international women's rights ambassador by President Sanders, without the baggage of being a secretary of state, and just kick ass around the world on women's issues, which are intricately related to environmental, energy, and economic issues anyway. I feel that she'd just call out bullshit all over the place and be able to finally leave the polling nonsense behind. I'd love to see a woman of her brilliance and nerves of steel unfettered by electoral calculation.
