A statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, which has stood in a prominent place on the campus of the University of Texas for nearly a century, was removed on Sunday, in a sign of changing attitudes about the appropriateness of displaying monuments honoring 19th Century supporters of slavery.
The university said in a statement that the Davis statue will be wrapped for protection, and then removed to its new location at an American history museum on campus where it will be 'refurbished for interior display' and will be exhibited 'within 18 months' ...

They don't realize what a monument to racism they themselves are.
