Poll finds Hillary Clinton leads GOP on terrorism issues

Source: Washington Post-ABC News poll

Candidates for the GOP's presidential nomination would love to be seen as the best choice when it comes to defense.

However, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, another candidate is actually the front-runner when it comes to the fight against terrorism.

Hillary Clinton was the first choice among Americans to handle terrorism -- above Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush -- although her lead on Rubio and Bush wasn't statistically significant.

Well, it stands to reason. She was the SOS for four years, of course she has more foreign policy experience than any other candidate.

I'd love to see the dems take the defense and economy mantle away from the GOP, and not by imitating them.

Having been in charge of enacting the nation's foreign policy for four years does make a difference.

No one in this world is perfect, but she has been there and back, met most leaders, been in on the tough decisions...and she is cool and calm.

The GOP are full of jerks, with no sense of nuance at all....

Idiots all!! And making terrorists very happy with their loose talk...

But what he said about the supposed "thousands" of people cheering in Jersey City personally offended me. I was inside the North Tower on a PATH train (the station was under that tower) when the plane had already hit the bldg. My town neighbors JC and lost more people than any other city in NJ. What Trump claimed never happened. A handful of idiots cheered and were summarily booed by the majority of people and were questioned by the police. The mayor of JC was on the news last night and he was furious. Even Christie said that it didn't happen. Trump is nothing more than a carnival barker, an embarrassing buffoon.

in the first place, that's not saying much. We as a nation are today less safe from terrorism thanks to both Hillary and the GOP's stupidity.

Hillary is not president yet. A SOS enacts the president's foreign policy. If you have a complaint take it up with him.

Hillary supporters want us to value Clinton's experience as Secretary of State.

But when you bring up her failure as Secretary of State they say "blame it on Obama"

is that she has dealt with a lot the world leaders, knows how State works, and how things work across agencies.

It's the daily grind that she knows and understands.....No other candidate from either party has that sort of invaluable experience.

It shouldn't take too much brainpower to be able to see how experience can be valuable, regardless of your opinion of the policies
involved...

It's time for people to grow up and think things through...

If I said something like that a Clintonite would flag it since they cant take criticism. You obviously do not like facts. Hillary is a hawk. She is our Tony Blair. He was supposedly left wing but just another neocon impostor. Pay attention...it may improve your ability to analyze reality.

And that means murdering families by the thousands. I dont care who else voted for it because thats not an excuse. Children do that. "Well little Timmy did it too." Pathetic. Be accountable. And by the way the Clintons are considered intimate members of the Bush family as stated publicly and often by both families. But some people dont read so they dont like things like facts. Just like Bill O'Reilly.

If she is the nominee, would you vote for her or stay home and let Ted Cruz be our next president?

This is where is comes down to it: will you vote for the Democratic nominee.

In 1968 - you may be too young to remember - many anti war democrats did not trust Hubert Humphrey so they stayed home and Nixon won.

Similarly, and thankfully for us, many right winger bible thumpers did not trust McCain nor Romney and stayed home.

You may think that you are acting "on principle" by not compromising, not voting for the eventual nominee, or voting for a Nader, but the results are that the other candidate wins.

Within the next four years, at least two Supreme Court Justices will be replaced, the liberal ones. So if you want to have a Supreme court full of "Thomases and Scalias" than go ahead, and don't vote for the nominee.

If Sanders is the nominee all of Hillary supporters will vote for him as we did for Obama in 2008. Why can't this hold the other way around? And who is the "blackmailer now?"

And Bernie will energize. Im not talking about activists like us (And Im not young btw). That is reality...if she is the nominee we automatically lose. Shouldnt Clintonites lay down their swords then right now? Bernie is not McCarthy. And Hillary is far from as humble and trustworthy as Humphrey. She is an honorary member of the Bush family as stated by Bush Sr, GW and herself.
