Reid Predicts 'Pause' In Immigration Raids

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Tuesday that the administration will soon pause controversial immigration raids that have upset congressional Democrats.

"I think you're going to find a pause in these deportations," the Democratic leader told reporters.

Reid's comments follow his discussion with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson earlier Tuesday. Reid said that Johnson "understood" Democratic concerns and that officials are moving toward a resolution.

Reid added that he isn't sure when the administration will announce a policy shift or whether the president will make an announcement during his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening.

where were you until today on this issue. Our State is over fifty per cent Hispanic,and many have been critical of his Democratic support here. Know that he has endorsed Ms. Masto,suddenly he moves on this issue. Better late than never I guess.
