Hillary Clinton Calls a Donald Trump Presidency 'Christmas for the Kremlin’
Source: ABC News
Hillary Clinton delivered a speech today in the wake of the attacks in Brussels that was as much an assault on Republicans -- namely Donald Trump and Ted Cruz -- at it was a rebuke of terrorism.
Clinton directly targeted Trump for his recent comments that the U.S. should limit its involvement with NATO -- warning such a move would only be a boon for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who already hopes to divide Europe."
If Mr. Trump gets his way, itll be like Christmas in Kremlin, the Democratic front-runner said during her remarks here at Stanford University. "It will make America less safe and the world more dangerous. When it comes to the struggle against ISIS, we need our allies as much as ever. We need them to be strong and engaged for they are increasingly on the front lines.
Drawing contrast with Trump, Clinton specifically called out London, Paris, Madrid, Brussels and Istanbul -- cities that have all been hit by terrorist attacks in recent years -- as places with which the U.S. should strengthen its ties. She also described NATO as "one of the best investments America has ever made."

(5,082 posts)He dangerous because he's racist. And he's a pathological liar. And he's unstable which means, yes, a threat to national security. Watch the Bush family crime syndicate eliminate him. They are friends with Hillary on top of it so he's toast in my opinion.

Here is HRC with no vision for the future. Fighting a war that ended 27 yrs ago. If Germany and Russia can get along after Germans killed 20 million Russians then Hillary can hit the restart button on Russia/US relations. But we all know with all of her so-called experience there is little wisdom and nothing but bad judgement. She is so void of vision that all she can do is repeat history even though the Clod War is over.

Hillary Clinton Calls for Intelligence Surge to Fight ISIS

PALO ALTO, Calif. Hillary Clinton on Wednesday called for an intelligence surge to defeat the Islamic State and, in sometimes mocking tones, offered a sharp rebuke to her Republican presidential rivals who she said would endanger Americans and alienate allies.
Speaking to an audience at Stanford University that included Steve Jobss widow, Laurene Powell, and his son, Reed, Mrs. Clinton called on technology companies to work with the federal government to fight the Islamic State, which took credit for the terrorist attacks that killed dozens in Brussels on Tuesday.
We need to take a harder look at security protocols at airports and other sensitive so-called soft sites especially areas outside guarded perimeters, Mrs. Clinton said.
That does mean working with the brightest minds here in Silicon Valley, she said, to more effectively track and analyze ISISs social media posts and map jihadist networks online.
When other candidates talk about building walls around America, I want to ask them how high does the wall have to be to keep the Internet out? Mrs. Clinton said, referring to the proposal by Donald J. Trump, the leading Republican candidate, to erect a wall on the Mexican border.
The attacks Tuesday in Brussels have forced Mrs. Clinton and her Republican opponents to reinforce their plans to defeat the Islamic State, and thrust the presidential campaign into a new stage in which each candidate is trying to present the toughest response to the threat of terrorism.
........................
We face an adversary that is constantly adapting and operating across multiple theaters so our response must be just as nimble and far-reaching, Mrs. Clinton said. We need to rely on what actually works, not bluster that alienates our partners and doesnt make us any safer.
She offered the sharpest criticism of Mr. Trump, who proposed that the United States consider leaving NATO, the Brussels-based organization that Mrs. Clinton called one of the best investments America has ever made and the most successful alliance in history.
Turning our back on our alliances or turning our alliance into a protection racket would reverse decades of bipartisan American leadership and send a dangerous signal to friend and foe alike, Mrs. Clinton said, noting that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia hoped to divide Europe.
If Mr. Trump gets his way, it will be like Christmas in the Kremlin, she said. It will make America less safe and the world more dangerous.
But Mrs. Clinton also reiterated her support for the thousands of Syrian refugees who have flooded into Europe fleeing violence. This is a heartbreaking crisis, Mrs. Clinton said, reiterating her call for a ceasefire in Syria and the creation of save havens. It would be doubly cruel if ISIS can force people from their homes but also prevent them from ever finding new ones....................
