Florida Gov. Rick Scott responds to coffee shop showdown

Source: Washington Post

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Gov. Rick Scott, responding to a viral video showing him being cursed at by an activist at a coffee shop, has brewed the frothy fracas into a full-force Floridian feud.

Instead of ignoring the exchange that had been viewed more than 2 million times on YouTube, Scott’s political committee on Friday posted its own video that called activist Cara Jennings a “latte liberal” who once refused to recite the pledge of allegiance at a public meeting.

The initial video of the confrontation in a Gainesville Starbucks shows Jennings, 39, calling the governor “an embarrassment to our state.”

Jennings tells him her health care costs had increased because he cut Medicaid and because he signed a bill that prevents any state money going to Planned Parenthood, and said “you should be ashamed to show your face around here.”

This is very dangerous. Scott (well, his people under his order) investigated the history and background of a voter who voiced her disagreement with him in public. What's next? Will he stay arresting people who do this in the future? Will he do worse? He's done a lot of horrific things in office but these actions against Jennings are frightening.

the lack of character he has. By this time I realize why they voted in this crook. I somethings don't know whether or not to say, "fuck you" to any state who keeps voting in these people. Jennings...what guts...Kansas...Texas..good people there. I will back these good people in these states.

Scott got 48.2% and Charlie Crist got 47.1%

If more people would get off their duffs and vote even if it isn't a presidential election, Crist would have won easily.

Talk about spinning the viral engine.

Dude should have just shut up and waited awhile. But noooooo -- his private bits were sulking over the righteous beating they received, and he couldn't resist.

He probably thinks he's being smart. But his career is over, I think. This is hyper-petty grade school stuff he's engaging in. Truly a Third Grade Governor.

So who should the liberal PACs target personally, Ted Nugent, Matt Drudge, the list is long, no?
