Ted Cruz Responds to Caitlyn Jenner's Bathroom Break
Source: NBC
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, responded to reality TV star and transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner and doubled down on his criticism of Donald Trump and others who have come out against so-called "bathroom bills" like the one passed in North Carolina last month.
In an interview with NBC's Chuck Todd, Cruz claimed Pres. Barack Obama, former Sec. Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump want to pass a law "that says any adult man can go into a girl's restroom if he feels like a woman at that minute."

During a recent appearance on "The Today Show," Trump was asked about the controversial legislation and said Jenner could use any bathroom she wanted at Trump Tower. Cruz swiftly criticized Trump for his comments.
Jenner then took Trump up on his offer, posting a video to Facebook where she walks out of the restroom at a Trump property. Referencing Sen. Cruz, she says, "By the way Ted, nobody got molested."

It is a bigot showdown with Ted Cruz scapegoating the LGBT community and Donald Trump scapegoating immigrants and Muslims. Who will win the Republican hate-fest?

And I know it's unfair to criticize someone's looks, people can't help their genes... but isn't Ted Cruz one of the creepiest guys you've ever seen. Even in his "glamor" professional shots he looks like a wanted poster from some "To Catch a Predator" episode.

by narrow-minded pea brain people with no understanding, interest, or
appreciation for differing points of view.
Just like Obama. He may have compromised, but he was never surprised by
issues or positions. He knows what is going on at any point in time.

What if your birth certificate doesn't match your current appearance?
Who will make sure the police aren't called?

That may seem like digression, and it is, but at least we don't have to hear them promoting their own any more.

Like Dennis Hastert setting up a chair so he could watch young boys naked in the shower.
No opposite gender peeking problems there.

(7,596 posts)A narcissistic asshole that killed a woman and got away with it. Not exactly the best representation of a transgender person.

(45,984 posts). . . is that a transgender woman is not a man who feels like a woman "at that minute." She probably felt like a woman long before beginning the process of sexual reassignment.
When I was small -- in the fifties, a time Christian rightists think of as a golden age -- my parents told me that some times, but not all that often, it is hard to tell a child's sex birth. So I came to understand something a Hebrew priest of the first or second millennia BC could not have possible understood. What I don't understand is how Christian bigots of the 21st century AD fail to understand it. The only excuse they have is willful ignorance, and that is no excuse at all.
