Political observers and media focused largely on a series of incriminating emails that revealed in various instances, DNC officials spoke disparagingly about both Sanders and his supporters.
Several other emails suggested the national organization, run by embattled Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, was trying to tilt the scales in favor of the former Secretary of State. Several communications showed DNC staffers collaborating with political journalists at key broadcast and print outlets to influence their coverage of both candidates.

In one message dated May 5, an exchange involving the DNC's finance chief asked a staffer to gather information on Sanders' religious beliefs, suggesting that it could influence the decision of southern voters. Sanders has alluded to his Jewish ancestry, but hasn't made much reference to religious beliefs during the campaign.
For his part, the Vermont senator remained largely silent about the affair. He made no remarks about the controversy on Twitter, where early Saturday he made an innocuous statement about the minimum wage.

(6,241 posts)I don't believe that. Next you'll tell me that they don't think Trump is a good guy either.
Wikileaks is great when they're sending out actual information. Their stuff a few years ago showing warcrimes by the is good for democracy. This petty crap between presidential campaigns ("She called Sanders a poppy dumb head. There were allegations of which one is rubber, and which one is glue" is not helpful in any way.

(6,241 posts)the DNC had done things in a "fair" (whatever that means) way, the outcome would have been any different? Bernie was my chosen candidate. I donated to his campaign. I voted for him in the Texas primary. And, he lost. He has endorsed Hillary. It's time to focus on getting Hillary Clinton into the Oval Office and making Donald Trump a bad memory.
Again, when Wikileaks was leaking diplomatic cables and showing shady things the government was doing, including war crimes, that's when it was useful. Showing infighting with the DNS is not useful in anyway.

(5,902 posts)It's nothing that doesn't get said in private all the time between competitors in any field, frankly.
I voted for Bernie in the primaries; I even convinced a couple of other people to do likewise. And I know that, like myself, Bernie considers keeping Trumpolini as far away from the White House as humanly possible job one.
No amount of pissy emails is going to change his mind - certainly not Mickey Mouse stuff like this.
