House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) allowed that supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) have a legitimate complaint about the way the Democratic National Committee treated him during the primary race.
Yet she pointed to the concessions made at this week's Philadelphia convention to assuage their concerns and the high stakes of this election to urge them to get behind Hillary Clinton. In terms of how the has been treated at this point, they should have no complaint and many of them are declaring victory in that regard, Pelosi said on MSNBC Monday night.

In terms of how the DNC may have treated him along the way, they may have a legitimate complaint, Pelosi said.
The House Minority Leaders maintained that voters were faced with a clear choice between the two major party nominees, however. Griping about that is a luxury our country cannot afford when we have such a drastic difference between Democrats and Republicans, between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, she said.

(23,569 posts)I am glad they apologized. But, it does make me angry.
I will vote for Hillary and I do believe this will blow over in a few months. But, it should have never happened.

(10,303 posts)Yes, Pelosi is correct. Bernie supporters are still aggrieved at what they see as the DNC being an extension of the Hillary Clinton campaign.
I suppose the concessions she speaks of can be viewed as some kind of attempt at making amends. The DNC convention manifesto is non binding, so some people do see it as crumbs.

(53,475 posts)... people who say we must cut ties with Alan Grayson because he was accused of domestic violence.
Never mind that Debbie resigned, that Ed Rendell called it a serious violation, that Snopes called it an unquestionable bias.
Just idle gossip, Nancy. Now get on message.
