AP sources: CEO at Democratic National Committee Resigns

WASHINGTON (AP) — The chief executive of the Democratic National Committee has resigned in the wake of an email hack that embarrassed the party on the eve of its convention.

That's according to three Democratic strategists familiar with Amy Dacey's decision to leave her job. The people spoke on condition of anonymity, because they were not authorized to discuss it publicly.

The Democrats say other personnel moves at the party are also expected Tuesday.

The content of the hacked emails exposed an apparent lack of neutrality in the primary race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, with party officials disparaging Sanders.

And kept going down, even after the DNC was notified about it.

Sanders' team didn't "break in" — all 3 campaigns' data was visible to their rivals. They should not have taken data as evidence, though. (The IT guy who did it was recommended to Sanders by the DNC.) But the DNC is ultimately responsible for the privacy of rival campaigns' data, and they failed to maintain it.

You and I are both re-fighting the primaries, by the way.

They got their way. They now pick some fall guys to smoothe over their dishonest machinations and probably give them bonuses for taking one for the team! The whole thing disgusts me and will for a long time.

Accountability is for little people, and by the time people have been in a leadership position for 24 years they feel bulletproof. Correctly, as we see in Mr. Marshall's case.
