Clinton Camp And Allies Book $98M In TV Ads To Trump Allies' Less Than $1M
Source: Talking Points Memo
Here's another indication of just how bonkers this election season is: NBC News reported Tuesday that Hillary Clinton's campaign and its allies were set to spend $98 million in TV ads through the fall, while pro-Donald Trump groups had reserved just about $1 million in airtime so far.
Clinton's campaign and Priorities USA Action have reserved a combined $98 million in ad buys, according to ad-tracking data by SMG Delta. The pro-Trump PAC Rebuilding America Now has slated about $817,000 in air time.
That's a continuation of what's already been a huge discrepancy between the two campaigns in terms of ad buys, with the Clinton campaign and its allies spending $68 million through last week and Trump's backers spending $6 million, according to NBC.
Clinton has an ad campaign set to ramp up around the Olympics in addition to booking airtime in Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, according to the report. The spots from Rebuilding America Now PAC are set to air on national cable and in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

(10,418 posts)I know he's getting a lot of free air time, but even with that this doesn't make sense.

Glad I cut the cable.

(9,350 posts)Hillary Clinton is not playing. If anyone doubted whether or not she wanted to win this election those doubts should be erased with what she has been doing since getting the Democratic Presidential nomination. She is not mailing this thing in. This time she is indeed in it to win it.
