Clinton Vaults to a Double-Digit Lead, Boosted by Broad Disapproval of Trump (POLL)
Source: ABC News
Hillary Clinton has vaulted to a double-digit advantage in the inaugural ABC News 2016 election tracking poll, boosted by broad disapproval of Donald Trump on two controversial issues: His treatment of women and his reluctance to endorse the elections legitimacy.
Likely voters by a vast 69-24 percent disapprove of Trumps response to questions about his treatment of women. After a series of allegations of past sexual misconduct, the poll finds that some women whod initially given him the benefit of the doubt have since moved away.

Fifty-nine percent of likely voters, moreover, reject Trumps suggestion that the election is rigged in Clintons favor, and more, 65 percent, disapprove of his refusal to say whether hed accept a Clinton victory as legitimate. Most strongly disapprove, a relatively rare result.
All told, Clinton leads Trump by 12 percentage points among likely voters, 50 to 38 percent, in the national survey, her highest support and his lowest to date in ABC News and ABC News/Washington Post polls. Gary Johnson has 5 percent support, Jill Stein 2 percent.

(23,147 posts)Jerry Falwell type of women haters and a few brainwashed women who follow their men in hating women, because jebus says. Avoiding these types are good. I make sure I don't walk too close to any house that has a drumpf sign. My bad thieving neighbor has 2 taped inside his window because people kept stealing his yard signs. Now 2 of his trees destroyed our chain link back fence and the other neighbors fence and shed and he won't even cut down the heavily damaged 30 ft. 1/2 tree that's left. So now I have to serve notice to him to remove this very present danger or he will be held responsible for double damages due to malicious negligence, the assholes. Just shows his supporters are as classless as him.

(23,152 posts)that pretty much sealed the deal for many women who were on the fence. That, unfortunately for trump and his limited way of thinking, clarified the answer to the nagging question: "Why didn't these accusers come forward before?" Obviously, they were afraid of being sued. And here he goes with the lawyers, even though his own lawyers have in all likelihood told him not to do it before the election.

A Democratic Wave Is Building As Number Of Republicans Likely To Vote Drops By Nearly 20%
The new ABC News/Washington Post has found that Donald Trump is threatening to depress Republican turnout by nearly 20 points as poll indicators point to a building Democratic wave.
According to the poll, The previous ABC/Post poll found a sharp 12-point decline in enthusiasm for Trump among his supporters, almost exclusively among those whod preferred a different GOP nominee. Intended participation now has followed: The share of registered Republicans who are likely to vote is down 7 points since mid-October.
An equally large problem for Republicans is that Trumps support is in collapse with white voters. Clinton leads Trump with men 44%-41%. She has gained 12 points with non-college educated white women and has opened up a 32 point lead with college-educated white women. Trump leads Clinton with white voters by just 4 points, 47%-43%. Mitt Romney carried these voters by 20 points in 2012.
Donald Trumps election rigging claims and the way he has attacked the women who are accusing him of sexual assault have backfired and depressed Republican turnout.
The numbers in the ABC News/Washington Post poll are more concrete because they arent based on mythic enthusiasm. It is a straight up question of whether or not people are going to vote. ...................

(17,946 posts)I've not taken the time to look at polling details in months...and it appears we have women and minority voters to thank for keeping us from the jaws of hell. At least in this particular poll....
Women - 55% Clinton - 35% Trump +20 Clinton
White Women - 50% Clinton - 43% Trump +7 Clinton
White Women (college graduates) - 62% Clinton - 30% Trump +32 Clinton
- among college educated women of color, the split is most likely far greater! 70's and 80's for Clinton at least
Non-White - Net 68% Clinton - 14% Trump +54 Clinton
African Americans +78 Clinton
Hispanics +38% Clinton (I would expect this to be higher...interesting)
Trumps largest constituency? You guessed it.....
White Men (no college degree) 29% Clinton - 60% Trump +31 Trump
White Women (no college degree) 42% Clinton - 51% Trump +9 Trump
With household income proportional to actual voter turnout, we could be seeing a Clinton landslide hiding in the data. Particularly as non-degreed whites become more despondent with the latest polling and revert to their usual low turnout.
