Donald Trump spent Thanksgiving asking: Mitt or Rudy?

Source: news.com.au

November 27, 2016 7:00pm

THE talk at Donald Trump’s Thanksgiving dinner at his Florida club was all about if he should pick Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani for secretary of state.

The President-elect held court on Thursday at his Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago club at a large table with family members including wife Melania and sons Eric and Barron, The New York Post reports.

One witness said Trump took a prime table next to the fireplace in the club’s living room, but spent a lot of time greeting members and asking who they think should be his top diplomat.

“Donald was walking around asking everybody he could about who should be his secretary of state. There was a lot of criticism about Romney, and a lot of people like Rudy. There are also many people advocating for [former US ambassador to the UN] John Bolton.”

That's at the bottom of the Australian piece. They're not trying to hide anything.

The NY Post is the source that I am suggesting is shady.

They are a right-wing tabloid not known for accuracy.

This entire story is based on the reports from an "unnamed spy" for the paper allegedly.

I assume due to his public "non-support" of the Donald; but even though I didn't support Romney for president, I certainly would be in favor of him as SoS. Mitt just looks and talks like a diplomat (aside for those lazy 40% of Americans), especially the Republican ideal. Seriously ,Rudy? The man makes me shudder every time his face shows up in the news. And Smarmy? Bolton's ineligibility for the position needs no explanation. Trump as POTUS and Guiliani or Bolton as Secretary of State? The embarrassment of the U.S. to the rest of the world just gets worse and worse.

von Ribbentrop

von Romneytrop

von Rudytrop

For his birthday, Hitler and the other Nazis gave Joachim von Ribbentrop a beautiful ornate box, which Hitler said contained copies of all the treaties Ribbentrop had negotiated, which were in effect.

It was empty.

but what little respect I might have had for him will evaporate if he's offered this job and accepts it.

Have a little pride, man.
