Michigan Starts Recounting Presidential Ballots on Judges Order.

Michigan began a recount of presidential ballots on Monday after a federal judge ordered state officials to move forward with the effort without delay.

In an order issued Monday, U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith said the state must begin recounting ballots in the presidential race beginning Monday afternoon. Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has successfully raised and paid the fee required to trigger a recount.

In Michigan, you are required to indicate ahead of time that you are running as a write in candidate. There were several that did, however write in votes for people like Bernie Sanders, Elvis, Harambe, or Oprah Winfrey were not counted. I imagine there were quite a few that wrote in Bernie considering that he won the primary

Unfortunately, I wonder how many believed the polls and thought Hillary was going to win anyway, so it didn't matter
