Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway on Sunday expressed disappointment that intelligence officials and lawmakers are leaking information on the Russian hacking of the election to help the president-elect and insisted it should be kept secret to protect the public.
Appearing on Fox & Friends, Conway was asked by co-host Clayton Morris about Trumps planned meeting with embattled FBI Director James Comey, only to have Conway lash out at leaks coming from U.S. intelligence agencies.
Im always disappointed how public and sometimes political some of these figures can seem to be, she responded. Im very concerned, very concerned. You realize it is the Trump team, only us at this time, that is not divulging what occurred in a classified briefing.
Ladies and gentlemen, she continued with her voice rising. Its called a classified briefing for a reason. You had the vice president of the United States making a comment about it the other day. You have intelligence officials confirming or denying. This classified information, its top secret. Why is it top secret? Its not top secret to keep it from the public, but to protect the public.

(23,061 posts)Stupid enough to not realize that most Americans didn't vote for him and actually loathe him. She thinks that we are all KKK or Nazis and totally as stupid as her and her grabber in charge. Information is classified to protect us, please, that's just really stupid and condescending as well.

(1,037 posts)Republicans have spent the last 40 years developing brand loyalty. Trump was right, he could kill someone in cold blood and his supporters would not waver.
Liberal/Progressive Americans are analytical and critical thinkers. Republicans don't have that problem.
He got elected after the country heard the audio tape of him bragging about grabbing women's "pursues."
There is nothing that will come to light that 1/3 of the country won't excuse and 1/3 of the country won't accept what this pos.

(218 posts)what worked on the campaign trail doesn't mean it's going to work in real life.
Trump has been absolutely horrible to government workers, the very workers who he'll need to make his government work.
All they have to do is NOTHING.
And when the government grinds to a halt...oh, you can't get that permit to camp in the park? oh, your passport hasn't arrived? oh, your social security check isn't right? The list goes on and on.
Kellyanne can declare that government is the problem, but who will be the head of the government, that's right, The Phony. The man full of baloney.
He has no conception of the storm that's going to take him down.
We just have to put on our weather gear and hold on for dear life.
Cause it wasn't clear as day what he was on Nov 7th.

(8,962 posts)Manifest as a series of covert actions over the course of months that enabled Trump to win the election. The public has a right to know if and how our national security was breached in order to advance a political agenda. This needs to come out in the open. Heads need to roll. Otherwise, gaslighting spin-meisters such as Conway will continue to whitewash crimes committed by the Trump campaign and their accessories, foreign and domestic.

(50,528 posts)When the American people realize how bad they've been FUCKED by this man and his minions, it's gonna be the French Revolution all over again. And I'll be real honest: if all those long days and nights of work building guillotines to solve the problem of the Trump maladministration screws up my nails, I'm gonna be pissed.
