Puzders Nomination In Jeopardy

Source: Political Wire

Four Republican senators have told their leadership they are withholding support for Andrew Puzder, President Trump’s choice for labor secretary, “setting off an intense effort by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and business groups to bring at least two back into the fold so that the nomination does not fail,” CNN reports.

The four, sources say, are Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Tim Scott (R-SC) and Johnny Isakson (R-GA).

The only reason Mukowski and Collins voted against Devos was because they knew she would get in.

This will be no different!

11. Yes. If they had really been against her, they'd have voted against her in committee.

She's worthless. As Harry Reid said, "She's always there with a vote when you don't need it."

The GOP doesn't want the press and the Democrats to get the bizarre idea that they're just rubber-stamping anything Trump wants, even though that's what they're doing. Trump isn't all that concerned about the Department of Labor and Puzder's not quite extreme enough for DJT (last I checked, Eddie Lampert and Al Dunlap are still available), so knocking off Puzder seems like a safe choice.
